Sophie Deslongchamps: A Passion for Rescue and Life
Sophie’s love for dogs started on a hobby farm in Scoudouc and deepened when she and her husband adopted their first rescue from PAW, formerly the SPCA. Their home has cared for as many as four rescue dogs at once. Those years taught her the value of consistency, patience, daily movement, and reading the subtle signals dogs give.
Sophie’s rescue dogs, past and present, are part of that story. Meet them in Our Hearts in Paws below.
That experience led Sophie to found Pawventures 2000, built on the belief that the person on the other end of the leash matters as much as the training. She leads a team experienced with dogs of different sizes, ages, energy levels, and temperaments, with safety and trust first.
When she’s not with the dogs, you’ll find Sophie with family or out on a motorcycle ride.

What Years of Rescue and Special-Needs Care Have Taught Us
Dogs with different histories, health needs, and temperaments have shaped the care at Pawventures 2000. Rescue dogs have taught Sophie patience and consistency; caring for dogs who are senior, reactive, or medically fragile has reinforced the importance of attentive, individualized care.
